It is human nature to think we have all the answers. Not only for ourselves but also for everyone in our lives. Lately, I am noticing how often I am wrong, and this is  good for me. Many times I am 100% sure I am correct and am shocked to find I am dead wrong.

By realizing and being reminded that I don’t have all the answers, I have learned to become more efficient and get more done by asking for help, in the moment. What a great lesson for us all!

Bad Client – New Experience

My job is highly technical and sometimes very complex. Last week I had an incredible experience. A previous client of mine contacted me for a project. I have not worked with them in a long time. In the past, they were challenging, and all of their projects were nightmares with everything going wrong.

I scheduled their work on Monday and gave myself an extra day just in case. I was leaving for vacation on Wednesday, so it was a time-critical project which had to go well.

The night before, I started remembering how awful things were when working with them. So in my nightly meditation, I asked God/The Universe for help in allowing it to go well, but if I ran into trouble, reminding me to ask for help.

Same Old Pattern Until I Remembered to Ask For Help

I woke up on Monday and started the work. It started off pretty well but not great. As the morning progressed, I ran into significant problems for something which should and could have been pretty minor. By 11:30 nothing I did was working. I started to feel myself crumbling into old patterns, and my thoughts turned to what-ifs and doomsday predictions about the project and having to cancel my vacation.

It was in that single moment that I felt a calm wash over me, and I put my hand on my forehead, and a voice inside my head said: “go easy, you are fine, just listen.” I breathed deeply and surrendered fully and asked for God/The Universe’s help in solving the issue. My specific wording was to be “guided to the solution.”

Within seconds I found myself clicking on something and trying one last thing and suddenly the website was fixed. A few more minutes of adjustments and I stared at the screen not quite believing that I had completed the work. I had struggled for two hours before asking for help, and within minutes of listening for guidance, the problem was solved, and the project was complete. I could now go on vacation without any issues. In my “mind” I had imaged the issue to be so huge that I would not be able to fix it in time. In reality, it was very minor, and all I had to do was ask for help and listen.

Humility is a Powerful Tool

There is profound power in asking for help and being willing to hear it. It also helps me to see that my pride and arrogance can get in the way. If I think I have all the answers, I won’t be able to hear the real answer and receive a beautiful, fast solution.

This experience stands out for me as another miracle in my daily quest to become even more conscious and shape my reality through connection with my higher self and the source of all life.

So when you are struggling, try letting go completely, and ask for help. You might just experience a few miracles yourself!
