If I were to ask you, “do you believe in miracles?” what would you say? You might think of miracles as someone having a spontaneous recovery from cancer or just barely escaping a tragic accident. But real miracles happen every day; they are all around us, but most people can’t see them. If you start to become more “present” and aware, you will start to witness them in your own life all the time.
Miracles, Miracles, and More Miracles
Back before my surgery and healing, I would have told you I have never experienced a miracle, not ever. Unfortunately, during that awful time and my two-year recovery, things went from bad to worse. Not only was I struggling to recover my strength from surgery, but I also experienced some other health issues and side effects from my trauma and grief.
For the past seven years, I have continued to find new ways to heal myself. I have used various energy methods such as EFT (Tapping), thymus tapping, hypnotherapy, grounding, meditation (my daily staple), and dozens of other healing techniques for the mind and body.
Little by little, I have noticed small miracles occurring more frequently in my daily life. For example, the other day, I looked for an item that my daughter gave me for my birthday. I knew exactly where it was. When I went to look, it was gone. I assumed I had used it up, and I eventually threw it out. Later in the day, I opened the same closet looking for something else, and right there was the item I was searching for earlier. It materialized in the exact location without any intervention from me. That was quite a miracle!
Seven years, right after my surgery, I developed a painful tooth issue. It remained every day until recently after a particularly interesting tapping session. The following day it was gone. I continue to be amazed at the daily miracles I am seeing in my life. Nothing changed to cause this miraculous healing except for the energy work I do daily. I didn’t have any medical treatment, and I have lived with this pain for seven years. Now, it has just suddenly healed itself.
Beliefs Have to Change
I have also been working on changing my beliefs since I think many of my old beliefs keep me from healing. Even a week ago, I would have told you that teeth are incapable of healing. I was wrong. I changed that belief through various methods and suddenly something I thought would last forever was gone overnight.
A year ago, I was extremely unhappy with my next-door neighbor. She was loud, inconsiderate, and did not belong living in a condo with other people. I felt angry for a long time. Then one night, I changed how I was reacting to it. Instead of ranting in my head, I said a nightly prayer, “thank God/The Universe for making her leave and bringing me a new, quiet neighbor,” I decided that this way of handling things was better for me and kept me from dissolving into resentment and anger. I decided to say this before bed every night. I did so for five weeks. Then on a Monday, I saw her condo listed for sale. She sold it in one day to a lovely single man who is silent. I never hear him or see him. He is the BEST neighbor ever. I see that as an incredible example of another miracle falling into my lap. First though, I had to change how I was viewing the situation and my beliefs. I honestly believed she would be here forever.
Miracles in Your Own Life
These are just a few of the incredible things I have seen happen in my own life. I think these miracles occur to all of us every day, but we either just don’t stop long enough to see them or believe that they are miracles. Perhaps we call them coincidence or explain them away some other way. So instead of asking yourself if you believe in miracles, try slowing down and see if you can catch any happening around you. I bet you will!
